What’s new ?
It is possible to manually create and evaluate a finished product in Glimpact by filling in the activity data form with your product data in order to assess its environmental impact.
There are many finished product categories in Glimpact, each of which is linked to a PEFCR or PCR.
The logic of the form for manually entering data into a finished product is the same for all categories, and is often linked to the stages in the product's life cycle.
To create a product, you need to have components in your workspace. They may have been added to your workspace by Glimpact or you can create your own components. Find out more about components here.

Once created, a product appears as a form. This form follows a logic similar to that of all entity categories, and is divided into two zones:
The meta data: general information about your entity, such as who created it, when etc.
The activity data: specific data about your entity, used by the calculation engine to provide environmental impacts. The structure of the activity data form is linked to the stages in the product lifecycle.
Some data are mandatory, others are not, and if you don’t have their information they are supplemented by default data based on the PEF.
<aside> ℹ️ Activity Data required are different from one product category to another. For example, activity data for a food product are different from a textile product or a footwear.

The Apparel and Footwear form is divided into 6 main parts :
When you have completed the necessary data for one part of the form, move on to the next by clicking on the menu at the top or on ‘Please click here to go to the next page’ at the bottom.
<aside> 🎉 Congratulations, you can now click on the “Evaluate my Entity” button, and get your results! The next step will be to know how to analyze those results.
