DEFINITION

A single score refers to an aggregated metric that condenses the environmental impacts of a product across multiple impact categories into a single numerical value. It is designed to provide a simplified representation of the overall environmental performance or footprint of the assessed product.

For the EF methods, it is expressed in µPoints.

It enables decision-makers, stakeholders, and consumers to compare the environmental performance of different products or services quickly and intuitively. It helps identify environmentally preferable options and supports sustainable decision-making.
